WHY YOU NEED TO FORGIVE

Have you ever felt angry and extremely offended because someone hurt you? How about dealing with the effect of the pain? That's even more overwhelming.

For your own sake you need to learn to let go. Presently, Forgiveness Therapy is now used as treatment for diseases, even for deadly diseases as deadly as cancer.

Just imagine!

Its even more painful when the person who wrong's you is a close family member or friend and to make matters worse, the person doesn't even acknowledge that what he or she did was wrong.

You need to settle things within yourself. First try to understand if that is the person's attitude. For example you're angry with your spouse or fiancee because of the way he handles money or she annoyed you with what she said; is that the first time he spent money in a way you didn't like? or how does she talk to those around her? If it's quite normal, then you have to straighten things out together. If you aren't married, good for you as it means you can set guidelines for yourselves before you get married. But if you are, you have to find a way around it (if you can).

Don't resort to settling things while you're angry because you could say worse things than the offender and you may end up being the one at fault. Things could just take a little twist. Let me give you an example:

My friend Tiffany was angry with her sister Tricia. She wore Tricia's shoe for a small family gathering and when Tricia saw it, she shouted at her in the presence of the guests. Most people scolded Tricia for talking the way she did but Tiffany was still angry and she told them that was what Tricia did and she gave dates and examples; everyone turned against Tiffany because of that.

Don't think you understand what's going on with the offender. Probe and find out.

Finally, the key to your happiness is with you, don't let anyone take it from you.
